Forensics Pursuit
Hi there :) Welcome to Forensics Pursuit!
Forensics Pursuit is a series of educational video games designed to teach Forensic Science students about the critical stages of forensic investigations. The game is divided into three distinct stages: evidence collection, lab analysis, and courtroom testimony. Each stage mirrors the real-world process of a forensic investigation, giving players hands-on experience in applying forensic methods. Linked below are the games that our 2026 cohort have developed:
- Fentanyl Overdose by Nicole and Emi
- A coroner case where the deceased Alastor Brahe passed from a Fentanyl prescription overdose. With the deceased being compliant with his medication, at least according to his parents, you've been called in to assess any other possible cause for his death.
- The Fifth Guest by Xiaohan and Spring
- In this homicide investigation simulation, the player collects blood and fingerprint evidence from the scene and performs a presumptive test for blood. In the laboratory, the player would focus on DNA profiling and conduct fingerprint analysis to evaluate potential links between the evidence and individuals involved in the case.
- Burnt House by Purnima and Spring
- This simulation introduces the basics of fire investigation, guiding the player through scene examination, evidence collection, laboratory analysis, and courtroom testimony. The player evaluates fire patterns and analytical findings to determine the area of origin, possible ignition sources, and whether the fire was accidental or intentionally set.

- Hit and Run by Anvi and Spring
- In this hit-and-run forensic simulation, a car has struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene! The player collects and examines evidence to determine which suspect vehicle may have been involved. The simulation introduces paint-chip and tire-tread analysis, emphasizing the comparison of known and unknown samples.
- The Drug House by Jane and Nisha
- After police officers obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence suspected of being used for drug trafficking activity, your job as a Forensic Identification Officer begins. You must process the scene, gather evidence, and analyse it in the lab to help tie suspects to the crime.
- Abandoned Car by Bardiya and Nisha
- A serial carjacker is out there, the evidence has to identify them.
- Resident Murder by Sana and Charleson
- What chaos would be unleashed by allowing a novice biologist free reign in the lab? How many mistakes could theoretically be committed during a crime scene investigation? Most importantly, what could players learn if given the freedom to make so many errors? My levels seek to answer this question by letting users play and learn from failure.
